Jocelyn Solis

Jocelyn was born in Napa, California in 1998. She grew up in the wine business, attending events as her mother, Vanessa’s plus one. Jocelyn never showed an interest in wine and took a liking to shooting and editing videos.

The interest in video and storytelling lingered within Jocelyn throughout high school and helped her make the decision to attend film school at the University of Colorado, Denver. While at college, she took a documentary filmmaking course that inspired her to pursue a career as a documentarian. She also accepted an internship assisting Emmy Award winning editor, Davis Coombe where she had the opportunity to work on various documentaries including Netflix’s 2020 film, The Social Dilemma.

After graduating college in 2020, Jocelyn moved to Chicago and accepted a position at the Chicago White Sox as a Video Content Coordinator. While working in SoxTV, she refined her camera work, editing, and directing skills. She also got to work on the docu-series TA7: The Tim Anderson Story where she was the lead editor for three of the five episodes.

In December of 2022, Jocelyn had a conversation with her mother, Vanessa, regarding Vintner’s Diary. It was an idea Vanessa had brought up to Jocelyn a couple years before, however Jocelyn didn’t feel qualified at the time. After working in Chicago, Jocelyn decided she wanted to reconnect with her family’s roots and help her mother bring Vintner’s Diary to life. Vanessa agreed and together they are collaborating on a business where they can contribute their individual talents.
